Green Schools in R茅v Hostel Balaton - Programme suggestions
Day 1 (Monday)
Afternoon: Arriving to Sz谩nt贸d,
occupying rooms from 14.00 PM. Introducing the schedule of Green School.
Then getting to know Sz谩nt贸d, northen gate of Somogy County. Exercises: interviewing local people in small groups about Lake Balaton (fisherman, ship crew, mayor, etc.)
Evening: Dinner then quiz, dance, disco, karaoke. Walk to the Lake.
Day 2 (Tuesday)
Morning: Gruopassingments:
1. Introduction to maps, hiking and supplies.
2. Rocks, minerals, types of terrains,
3. Toxic plants, accidents, injuries while hiking, wheather, etc.)
4. Preparing for the afternoon walking tour.
Afternoon: Walkingtour to Sz谩nt贸dpuszta Manor and Skansen: appr. 3 hour walk, visiting the manor,hiking to Sz谩nt贸dpuszta Skansen or Manor, the Touristic and Cultural Center. Awarded the Europa Nostra Award in 1995, the several hundred year-old building complex of the Sz谩nt贸dpuszta farmstead is a faithful guardian of Hungarian agricultural history. Displaying other treasures of culture and civilization as well, it provides an excellent opportunity for relaxation. The works of a former tenant, farming poet 脕d谩m P谩l贸czi Horv谩th who lived on the plain, are on view in the old overseer's house., Children will be delighted by the colourful world of the aquariums and the various animals still bred and kept in the various pens and stables. Chores: creating maps, collecting plants, interviewing, picture taking.
Evening: Learning songs and games. Who is the bravest - midnight competition.

2. Lake Balaton's ethnological and architectural memories.
3. Drawing, painting, flower collecting.
Afternoon:
Trip to Tihany: crossing the Lake w/ ferry (400.-Ft/person), then takeing the Little Train up to the Abbey (150.-Ft/person). Sights: Open Air Ethnographic Museum, Lajos L贸czy Walk, Limnol贸giai Int茅zet, Benedictine Abbey Museum, Doll Museum, etc.) Tihany guided tour with R茅ka Vers: +36-30-316-95-41 Chores: interviewing, picture taking.
Evening: Tale telling, tabletenis, fussball, billiard contest.
Day 4 (Thursday)
Morning: What have you learned so far quiz: formation of the Lake. Lake Balaton's flora and fauna, water and shores wildlife.
Afternoon: Trip to Si贸fok: Mineralmuseum, Meteorological Observatory, Radio and Newscast Museum, Imre K谩lm谩n Memorial.
Evening: Closing quiz, contest, valueing the Green Scool's program, disco and karaoke.
